The Contex Full Scale Monochrome Scanners FSS^DSP are cost-effective solutions for fast, high volume scanning.

The scanners automatically digitize drawings up to 40" wide, standard sizes E-Size/A0 with a scan width of 36"/914mm. The straight-through document path handles all kinds of media for CAD conversion, Archiving and advanced GIS applications.

Features

A built-in dedicated highspeed Digital Signal Processor (DSP) performs image processing and enhancement in real-time.

Unique two-dimensional 2D-Adaptive Thresholding automatically adjusts to the scanned drawing, compensating for varying backgrounds, faded areas and stains and provides clean crisp results from poor quality drawings as you scan.

You select the right resolution, from 25 dpi up to 1800 dpi, to match you’re imaging task and storage space. These scanners create raster files, with more than 50 formats selectable, thus ensuring compatibility with virtually all third party software.

The FSS scanners are very fast, scanning an E-size CAD drawing directly to RLC format at up to 3"/sec at 200dpi and 400dpi-turbo resolutions. With the Auto-Feed and Auto-Size detection features, you further reduce operating time and handling when scanning large batches of drawings.

FSS8300PLUS
The FSS8300PLUS contains the features of the FSS8300 but in addition includes the following unique features:

• Ultra high speed. Scans A0/E-size drawings at 200 dpi in 8 seconds (6"/sec).

• Advanced Area Diffusion Logic enhancing scan to print files with tones of gray preserved in compact print ready files. 

• Scan resolutions setable in 1 dpi increments meeting all scanning and printing requirements. 

Common FSS Scanner Features:

• E-Size (A0) Scan width enabling scanning of large originals.

• Scan length is not limited by the scanner

• Scan-to-file: You select the desired resolution, from 50 dpi, in one dpi increments. 

• Graytone, photo and Black/White scanning modes.

• The Two dimensional 2D-Adaptive thresholding provides clean crisp scans form poor quality originals, automatically compensating for varying background, faded areas and stains.

• On the FSS8300 -PLUS, advanced ADL-Area Diffusion Logic scans your most demanding B/W and Graytone originals with shades of gray. ADL automatically detects and updates black and white points in the document during scanning ensuring high quality with all grays preserved.
