The included software solution integrates the scanner with HP Designjet large-format printers on your network, because the HP Designjet Scanner 4200 already has the same drivers as the printers. The scanner and software offer complete scan/print/copy functionality for technical, GIS, and graphics applications. The output is available in the most common file formats (PDF, TIFF, JPEG, and CALSG4) and in a variety of digital formats (CD, disk, or file). • Add scanning functionality to produce electronic files and hard copies of color/black and white documents. The built-in scanner accepts originals up to 1092 mm (43 inches) wide and 15.2 mm (0.6 inch) thick, so you can handle even oversized and heavyweight originals. The 1067-mm (42-inch) scan area captures wide-format images for easy printing, copying, and saving.
• Use the HP Designjet Scanner 4200 to create scans that have a level of detail that is comparable to the originals. With a resolution of 424 ppi optical and 2400 ppi enhanced, and a 0.15 percent line accuracy, your scanned files are indistinguishable from new output, and reproduce the original documents precisely.
• The fast, accurate scan function increases efficiency. The HP Designjet Scanner 4200 produces color scans at 38 mm (1.5 inches) per second, and black-and-white scans at 76 mm (3.0 inches) per second. Perfect your image by using the color correction and 2D-filters for color sharpening, image softening, and blur. The monochrome Dual 2D-Adaptive enhancement technology produces clean and crisp scans even from poor-quality originals. Calibration wizards ensure that your scans, copies, and prints consistently show HP quality and consistency.
• Offer your customers, clients, and coworkers the convenience of having scanned documents available on compact discs (CDs) or floppy disks. Save your scanned files in the most common file formats, including .pdf, .tif, and .jpeg. This is just another way HP products meet the needs of every user.
